Nkiru Sylvanus Paid Her Kidnappers 8 Million Naira - Security Agencies

Security agencies have revealed that Nollywood  actress and Aide of Governor Rochas Okorocha, Nkiru Sylvanus, who was kidnapped in Decmber last year, paid eight million Naira to secure her release.

The revelation came from the State Security Service and the Nigeria Police at a joint briefing in Abuja.

Spokespersons for both  organizations  also revealed that members of the notorious Kidnapping ring, which carried out the act, have also been arrested .

The gang is led by a dismissed police man, Ndidi Nwokoma.

Other members of the gang are Stanley Asonna, a twenty seven year old indigen of Oguta in IMO state, Aminu Musa, a Fourty year old ram trader from Taraba state. ohammed Abubarkar, 34, from Nassarawa state.

Others are Obinna, 30, from Anambra state and Sampson Chinedu from IMO state.

As the security agencies continue their battle against kidnapping there is still the controversial issue of ransom payment

The six suspects are to be handed over to the Police for prosecution
