Justice Ayotunde Adeyoola Phillips has been sworn-in as the new Chief Judge of Lagos State.
Phillips who is the fourteenth chief judge of the state took over from Justice Inumidun Akande who retired last week.
Governor Babatunde Fashola in his speech described her as a fair less judge, promising that her tenure would ensure a quick dispensation of justice in Lagos.
In her acceptance speech, Phillips promised to lead the state judiciary better than she had met it.
She said prison congestion would be her priority and administration of justice would adequate attention.
