JUNE 12

President Goodluck Jonathan has been urged to put in place a judicial commission of inquiry into the annulment of the June 12, 1993 presidential election which was presumably won by late Chief Moshood Abiola.

The former Governor of Kaduna State, Balarabe Musa made this known at a programme to commemorate the nineteen years remembrance of the election in Ikeja.

He said the inquiry would ensure that annulment of a free and fair election does not happen again in the country.

For his part, the National leader of ACN, Bola Tinubu said Abiola should be recognised as the second democratically elected president in the country.

Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State said June 12 should inspire Nigeria for positive change.
