Bayelsa speaker impeached.

The Speaker of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly FRIDAY KOMBOWEI BENSON has been impeached. Eleven out of the twenty four members impeached the Speaker at an emergency sitting at the Assembly complex in Yenagoa amidst tight security. The Speaker and twelve other members were absent during the sitting which lasted for thirty minutes. A new Speaker Hon. FINI ANGAYE representing Kolokuma Opokuma Constituency two was inanimously elected by the house while the Deputy Speaker SAM ATEKE retains his position.
