(NUJ) IN EFFECTIVE MEDIA COVERAGE OF 2012 LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTION.
MRS UKPONG MADE THE OBSERVATION IN UYO, THE STATE CAPITAL AT A
WORKSHOP ORGANISED BY AKISIEC TO EDUCATE JOURNALISTS ON EFFECTIVE AND
EFFICIENT COVERAGE OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTION IN THE STATE.
SHE EXPRESSED THE HOPE THAT THE TRAINING WILL HELP JOURNALISTS TO BE
FACTUAL IN THEIR REPORTAGE OF ELECTION RESULTS AND ADVISED JOURNALISTS
NOT TO COME AND CLUSTER AT THE OFFICE COMPLEX OF AKISIEC ON ELECTION
DAY BUT TO GO INTO THE FIELD IN ORDER TO GIVE AUTHENTIC REPORTS.
