US Expressed Skepticism Over Army's Claim On Location Of The Kidnapped Chibok Girls

The United States has expressed skepticism the Chibok schoolgirls held by Boko Haram militants had been located by the military.

The military had said on Monday that it had located the missing teenagers, kidnapped mid-April by the armed militant group.

US State Department spokeswoman, Jen Psaki, told newsmen that there was no independent information from the United States to support these reports.

The United States is the biggest foreign participant in the effort against Boko Haram following the deployment of about eighty US military personnel to neighboring Chad for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance,.

Washington has also deployed surveillance drones, spy planes and about thirty civilian and military specialists to support Nigeria’s security forces.
