Oba of Lagos, Rilwan
Akiolu has pronounced a former Accountant-General of the state, Akin Ambode as
the anointed candidate of the Council of Chiefs in the state in the twenty
fifteen governorship election.
Oba Akiolu made the pronouncement at the launch of a biography of Akin Ambode titled:
The Art of Selfless Service.
He advised anyone who was nursing any governorship ambition in Lagos to forget
about it and wait for his or her turn.
On his part, the Executive Secretary of the state Security Trust Fund, Fola
Arthur-Worrey, who represented former Governor Bola Tinubu said Akin Ambode’s leadership
qualities stand out.
Also speaking at the
event, Governor Babatunde Fashola who was represented by the Secretary to the
State Government, Oluranti Adebule said the testimonies in Ambode’s biography
are the tonic needed to energize the state’s public service.
Akin Ambode said serving
under former Governor Tinubu and Governor Fashola further helped shape his
career.
