Amnesty International Alleges That The Military Ignored Warning On The Abduction Of Schoolgirls In Chibok.

Amnesty International says the Nigerian military had advance warning of the attack on the Government Girls Secondary School in Chibok Borno State, but failed to act.

The rights group said it was informed by several credible sources that the military in Maiduguri was informed four hours before the abduction of the school girls.

Amnesty International said the security forces failed to respond because they feared engaging with the better-equipped Boko Haram.

The Minister of Information, Labaram Maku, who doubted the Amnesty report however said the Federal Government would investigate the claims.
