Nyako Faults President Jonathan's Request To Extend State Of Emergency

The Governor of Adamawa State, Murtala Nyako, has faulted President Jonathan’s request to extend the state of emergency in his state and two others by another six months.

He said emergency rule has not reduced the level of attacks in the affected states.

Several Senators from the northern region like Ali Ndume also opposed the request, saying the state of emergency had not served the purpose for which it was declared a year ago.
