The Executive Secretary of NAPTIP, Beatrice Jedy-Agba disclosed that the operation which was intelligence driven was done in collaboration with the regional bureau office of Interpol in Abidjan and a Non Governmental Organization, family Essan for Protection and Promotion of Human Rights, FEPDH.
Jedy-Agba who spoke while receiving the girls in Abuja lamented that there are many Nigerian girls in bondage in the booming sex trade in Cote d’ivoire and Burkina Faso
Statement signed by the Head of Public Relations unit of the Agency, Arinze Orakwe said the ten girls are presently undergoing medical screening and counseling with NAPTIP operatives after which rehabilitation will commence in earnest.
