A device suspected to bomb has been found in the office of the Delta
State Head of Service.
The suspected bomb was placed at the security post of the office complex
in Asaba.
Staffs of the complex were prevented from entering the premises by men
of the anti- terrorist squad of Delta State Police Command.
It will be recall that the Delta State Head of Service, Sir Okey Ofili
was shot on the leg in July 22, this year by suspected kidnappers.
He was taking to an undisclosed hospital outside Nigeria, were he is
still receiving treatment since then.
Meanwhile, Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan has assured the state citizens of
their safety in respective of where they reside within the state.
The Governor gave the assurance when he was inspecting the bomb scare
found at the office of the Head of Service, near Government House, Asaba.
The State Commissioner of Police, Ikechuckwu Aduba, described the bomb
scare as “Mischief”.
