The campaign to reverse the ceding of
Bakassi peninsula Cameroon has shifted to the House of Representatives with
prominent inhabitants of the area insisting that the Nigerian Government should
appeal the 2002 judgment of the International Court of Justice.
Speaking at an interactive session by the House joint Committees on Foreign Affairs, Justice and Special Duties, Bakassi indigenes accused the Nigerian government of failing in its duties to protect its citizens in the wake of series of injustices meted out by the Cameroonian government.
