Twelve members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa State escaped death following a motor accident on their way back from the National Convention of the Party in Abuja.
The motor accident, which occurred at about 5pm on Sunday along the Patani axis of the East/West road, led to
huge vehicular traffic due to the multiple summersaults of the commercial bus
conveying them took before landing in a ditch.
Eyewitnes told our correspondent in Yenagoa Oyins Egrenbido that the PDP leaders, that participated in the National Convention were rescued by sympathizers and rushed to various specialist hospitals accross the state.
The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media and Public Affairs, Mr. Darniel Iworiso-Markson who confirmed the development stated that the Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters,Chief Fred Agbedi has visited the victims of the accident at the various hospitals.
