RADIO:INEC POSTPONES SENATORIAL ELECTION AS APGA CALLS FOR REMOVAL OF REC


The Independent national Electoral commission, INEC has postponed Saturday’s election for Anambra south senatorial zone.
 
In a statement issued by INEC resident electoral commissioner in Anambra state, Professor Chukwuemeka Onukaogu said the commission decided to postpone the election because of what it described as logistics and operational reasons.
 
Professor Onukaogu said INEC will announce a new date for the election.
 
Meanwhile, The All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA in a swift reaction has called for the removal for the INEC resident electoral commissioner in Anambra state, Professor Chukwuemeka Onukaogu.
 
Secretary of APGA in Anambra state, Okolie Akirika who made the call in an interview with Rhythm news  declared that the Resident Electoral commissioner is working against INEC’s resolve to conduct free, fair and credible elections for Anambra south Senatorial zone.
