DELTA STATE PDP ENDS CRISIS


Peace has finally returned to the Delta State Chapter of PDP with the faction of the former Republican Commissioner of Information, Chief Edwin Clark, Chief Peter Okocha, the governorship candidate of the defunct Action Congress (AC), and Chief Ovie Omo-Agege, the governorship candidate of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) who dumped the party in the wake of 2007 and 2011 elections and the Former National President of Ijaw Youth Council, IYC, Dr. Chris Ekiyor, who decamped to the ACN to House Reps Election all participated.
The Minister of the Niger Delta Affairs, Elder Godsday Orubebe, representing E K Clark’s faction moved the motion for the adoption of the agenda of the congress and was seconded by Senator James Manager.
The aggrieved wife of the former National Chairman of the party, Mrs. Mariam Ali, a two-time senatorial aspirant of Delta North as delegate of Oshimili South was also present.
The incumbent Chairman, Barr. Peter Nwaoboshi was returned unopposed alongside his former Secretary, Chief Solomon Ogba, now the Delta State representative at the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), with 27 other members.
Speaking at the event, Governor Uduaghan, said he was happy that peace has finally returned the party in the state.
