Two police
officer has been shut dead by unknown gunmen
at the Azikoro town area of Yenagoa, the Bayelsa
State capital.
The police officers were responding to a distress call at the area before they were ambushed and shut by a yet to be identified gunmen.
The Bayelsa State Commissioner of Police Kings Omire who confirmed the incident says three of the police officers were on the patrol when the incident happened.
Omire said one of the policemen escaped with serious injury while the other two died instantly as a result of the injuries sustained from the gunshot.
The Bayelsa State Commissioner Police however said investigation into the killings have already started adding that no arrest have been made
