Officials of the Nigerian Christian
Pilgrim Commission have indicated plans to visit Israel from next week to
perfect arrangement ahead of President Jonathan's bid to perform
this Year's Christian Pilgrim to the Holy land.
The Executive Secretary of the of the Nigerian
Christian Pilgrim Commission, Kenedy Okpara who disclosed this in Abuja said
the intending Pilgrims would also visit holy sights in Rome and Greece.
Okpara who was received in audience by the FCT
Minister of state said the commission has increased the FCT slot from 1000 to
1500 pilgrims for the 2013 Christian Pilgrimage to the Holy Land.
In her remarks, the Minister of State for
the FCT, Olajumoke Akinjide, commended the Commission for introducing the
Easter and November/December Editions of the Pilgrimage.
She added that three hectares of land was recently
approved for the construction of permanent Camp for intending pilgrims from the
FCT.
