Suspected Christmas day bomber, Kabiru Sokoto is to be returned to the custody of the State Security Service in Abuja.

A federal High  court in Abuja, gave the order at a resume hearing of the trial of the suspect.

Sokoto, who had been in the custody of the Nigerian Prisons Service, was returned to the SSS following compliants from his counsel that access to him was not granted by the prison authorities.

He is facing a two count charge of conspiracy and terrorism before Justice Ademola Adeniyi of the federal High court.

Sokoto, whose real name is Kabiru Abubakar Dikko, escaped  from police custody after his initial arrest on January 14, 2012 while being led to his Abuja home for a search.
