PSQUARE BURY’s MUM UNDER COVER AMIDST THE N50 MILLION SPECULATIONS


The popular RNB musician Peter and Paul Okoye popularly called PSquare  bury’s mum today at ST’ Gabriel  Catholic Church Ifite-Dunu, Anambra State,  where tens of people from the villages thronged  to cheer the talented music icon mothers’ burial.

The 62 year-old Late Mrs  Josephine Okoye who was until her death, was regarded as a spiritualist and a prayer agent, saddled with the responsibility of deliverance and counselling ministry in the environment was reported to have died of long term ailment that had caused the entire community seize less  praying revival before her demise.

Against the much speculated huge sum of money that was reported in the media for the burial ceremony, reports revealed that the burial programme did not reflect the envisaged amount amongst the perceived neglect and sign of discord seen on the people’s faces.

Little wonder that journalists were denied access to cover the burial ceremony and as well beaten by the hired tugs of the duo’s  brother Jude Okoye, from performing their civic duty at Mrs Okoyes’ requiem mass at St Gabriel Catholic Church Ifite-Dunu  premises as well as at the place on internment .

Our correspondent reports that there were so much unease and perceived tension on the minds of the bereaved against what the media would report from the disconnect that was latter gotten  from the villagers and the measure of esteemed dissociation from the entire community before their mother’s burial.

Speaking with a villager, Mr Joseph Ozodinobi   who described the late Mrs Josephine Okoye  as a mother of good resource but the family, in particular the children, having garnered the much envisaged  fame are not able to impact on the lives of the people in the community.

He regret the idea of the fame of some Nigerians   garnered home and abroad, without any direct impact on the lives of their people, noting that they need to touch lives of people that made them and leave a foot print  on the sand of time that they will be remembered for, ’’ I do not stay in the village, I was fortunate to be in the village and witness their mother’s burial.

I have nothing to say about them because they are known by many people in Lagos and Abuja name it, but my people cannot point to any project or talk of any lives they have been able to affect  since‘’, said  Samuel Ozodinobi .

Aside been barred from covering the burial ceremony, journalists around did not spot any popular artiste of their musical category to cheer their colleagues mother’s demise, where the like of 2face,Dbanj, 9ice, Davido the famous Akon , Rick Ross  and their likes were conspicuously absent, you would  agree with the feeling exhibited by the villagers to the Late Josephine Okoyes’ burial.
