Muslim Cleric condemns Boko Haram


Muslim Clerics have called on President Goodluck Jonathan and the political class to end the mindless bloodshed by the insurgent boko haram, in order to restore peace and confidence in the ability of government to protect the lives and properties of its citizen.

The chief Imam of the Nawair – Ud Deen Society of Nigeria Society  Nurain Taiwo Dindi, who made the call in Abuja, urged the Federal Government and securities agencies to search for boko haram members outside the mosque and desist from interrupting religious activities of the faith.

The Cleric, who spoke to at an event the marking the last days of the holy month of Ramadan, said the activities of the boko haram sect has equally affected the act of worship in mosque.

According to the imam, the agitations and activities of the sect is un-Islamic no true Muslim will undertake the kind of even responsibilities the sect has entrusted itself with. 

He called on sect to give up their course or face the wrath of Allah.
