FORMER OGUN CJ ASKS NJC TO SACK LAZY, CORRUPT JUDGES


Former Chief Judge of Ogun State ,Justice Isaac Babatunde Delano has urged the National Judicial Council {NJC} ,not to hesitate to dismiss both the lazy and corrupt judges in the bench.

Justice Delano {RTD} emphasized that corrupt judges are just  like bad eggs if not quickly remove can definitely contaminate the good ones.

He stated that Chief Olusegun Obasanjo regime had raised the standard of judges by increasing their salary adding that  today's judges have no excuse to e corrupted .

Retired Justice Delano who made the declaration over the weekend why talking to the newsmen in Ibadan lamented the rate of corruption in virtually all sectors of government and private organization ,but submitted all hands must on deck to make sure that judiciary is not corrupt for the sake of the Country.

He said chief Judges of states Judiciary should sanction any judge who sits after the mandated 9.am to set the standard of professional practice adherence

Justice Delano further advised the NJC to make sure that they appoint credible and people that come from credible family as judge.

He submitted that majority of either lazy and corrupt judges came from poor background
