Police Begins Preparation For Anambra Polls, Warn Thugs, Hoodlums

The Nigeria Police Force today warned hoodlums and thugs to steer clear of the Anambra governorship election slated for November, saying that no stone will be left unturned to ensure security of live and property during and after the election.


The Assistant inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 9, Tambari Yabo Muhammed while speaking in Ibadan disclosed that the zone had concluded arrangements to ensure a free, fair and peaceful election.

He noted that thousands of officers and men in the police force will be deployed to that area even from other states of the federation. He explained that covert and overt arrangement will be made to nab thugs and hoodlums that may want to allow themselves to be used by anyone to forment trouble.

Tanbari also assured the people of Anambra state that come November 16th 2013 the governorship election will be peaceful.
