Assembly lauds Mimiko, Dangote for siting refinery in Ondo

The Ondo State House of Assembly has commended Governor. Olusegun Mimiko and Alhaji Aliko Dangote for sitting a refinery at Olokola.

The Deputy Speaker, Dare Emiola, gave the commendation on Tuesday at plenary after the law makers returned from an eight-week vacation.

Emiola, who represents Akoko South West Constituency 1, commended Dangote for taking advantage of the state’s robust investment environment to drive its economy.

He said the debut of the project was an expression of confidence in the state, noting that the refinery would boost the socio-economic development of the state.

Mr Edema Olugbenga, who represents Ilaje Constituency 11, described the initiative as a welcome development, adding that it would attract more industries to the area.

Jumoke Akindele, representing Okitipupa Constituency 11, said the refinery would create thousands of jobs and urged other industrialists to emulate Dangote.
