No End In Sight For ASUU Strike As Government Shifts Ground

Federal government is hoping for an early resolution of the ongoing strike by the Academic staff Union of Universities with  an offer totaling 130 billion Naira to meet two components of the demands of the striking lecturers.

Going further the Federal Government negotiating team is to meet management councils and Vice Chancellors of the Universities to work out the earned allowance accruing to each institution and those entitled to it.

Benue state Governor Gabriel Suswan disclosed this to newsmen at State House, Abuja on Tuesday after a meeting with President Goodluck Jonathan to brief him on progress made so far with the striking lecturers.
