Ladoja Life Is In Danger-Accord Party

The appeal has been dispatched to the President Goodluck Jonathan to call on security operatives to ward-off further waste of lives following a statement made by Oyo state governor, Senator Isiaka Abiola Ajimobi last Sunday that if Senator Rashidi
Ladoja is removed ACCORD party would be no more.

ACCORD spokesman, Lanre Latinwo disclosed this in a press statement in Ibadan yesterday that the governor spoke in an interview which was relayed on Channel Television and call for thoroughly investigate the claim.

The governor, who spoke to the newsmen after the newly registered party APC rally at Mapo, said that there is no other party in the state, stressing that “no more PDP in Oyo state and that if Ladoja is removed there would be no party called ACCORD.”

He stated that ACCORD is worried because there may be sinister moves aimed at wrecking havoc on targeted members of the party hence the clarion call to higher authority to prevail on the governor to explain what he meant.

According to him, ACCORD would not have bother to make this an issue, but past experiences and activites of defunct ACN leaders have shown that issues of this nature should not treated with levity.

Citing examples of an incident in Lagos state few years ago that earned late Funso Williams his life while similar fate befell another PDP stalwart Ayo Daramola in Ekiti state.  Alhaji Latinwo further expressed conern that “our fear is the threat to national leader’s life is such that cannot be dismissed with a waves of hand or treated with hands in gloves. More so, that such statement is coming from the Chief Security of the state, we need to cry out and for the Presidency to intervene and to give necessary cover to shield/protect Senator Rashidi Ladoja life.”

He however pleaded with all the security apparatus in the country not shirks their responsibility to call the Oyo state governor to order to forestall any dastardly act.
