400 Candidates Unable To Write Today's UTME In Borno Due To Security Challenges

At least 400 candidates were unable to write today’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination in Maiduguri, Borno state due to security challenges.

The Registrar of Joint Administration and Matriculation Board, Professor Dibu Ojerinde said arrangement has been made for the affected candidates to write the examination at a later date.

Professor Ojerinde who made this known while monitoring today’s examination in Abuja said rescheduling the examination for the candidates follows a report of an attack by suspected Boko Haram members on some people believed to be JAMB candidates.

The Supervising Minister of Education Nyesom Wike commended JAMB for what he described as an improved coordination and conduct of the examination.
