President Goodluck Jonathan has urged delegates to the national conference to focus only on the Nigerian agenda.
He urged the delegates not to approach issues with antagonism and ethnic sentiments.
The President said Nigeria must stay together despite its numerous challenges.
President Jonathan who again said he had no personal agenda in convening the conference said it was not meant to usurp the functions of the National Assembly.
The President said sovereignty belongs to the people and that their voices must be heard.
Chairman of the conference, Justice Idris Kutigi thanked the President for his courage to convene the conference.
