The Doctor Peter Odili led
Electoral Panel in the governorship primaries to elect the PDP flag-bearer for
the Ekiti state governorship election has declared Ayo Fayose as winner.
Ayo Fayose got four
hundred and sixty two out of four hundred and seventy seven votes cast.
Reacting to Ayo Fayose's victory,
some aspirants dissociated themselves from the exercise and called on the
President and national leadership of PDP to declare the primaries as illegal,
null and void.
The other aspirants had
argued that Ayo Fayose was not properly re-admitted into the party on his
return after defecting to the Labour party.
