Abba Moro Accepts Responsibility For The 19 NIS Applicants

The Minister of Interior, Abba Moro has accepted responsibility for the death of nineteen applicants during the recent recruitment exercise by the Nigeria Immigration Service.

He told a public hearing of the Senate that the loss of lives was regrettable because a lot of planning went into the exercise.

The Controller-General of Immigration, David Paradang said he was sidelined from the exercise.

A member of the board of the Civil Defence, Fire, Immigration and Prison Service, Mustapha Zakariya said the board did not approve the recruitment and the consultant hired by the minister to carry out the exercise.
