The Lagos state government says. It
is committed to the overall development of children in the state.
Governor Babatunde Fashola who stated this at the
children day rally held at the Police College in Ikeja said his administration
will continue to invest in the education, health, security and well being of
the children in Lagos.
Fashola noted that previous investments have
started to yield positive results.
He said results from last year’s West African
Examination Council, shows a remarkable improvement from 19 percent pass
recorded in 2011 to 35 percent last year.
Some of the students called on government to
continue to provide basic amenities for their overall well being.
