Gunmen Kill Two Soldiers In Bayelsa State.




Three Military Personel including a retired Naval Officer has been shut dead by unknown gunmen suspected to be sea pirates last night at Angiama and Etelebiri waterways in Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.

Two military men were seriously injured while another is declared missing.

The military men were said to be escorting a barge belonging to Sterling Global Oil Company before they were ambushed by the unknown gunmen.

Spokesman of the Joint Military Task Force in the Niger Delta Lieutenant Colonel Onyema Nwachukwu who confirmed the incident said two military men and a civilian was killed while three civilian are seriously injured.

Lieutenant Colonel Nwachukwu also said the soldiers engaged the gunmen in a shoot out  that lasted for about thirty minutes before they were killed.
