Oyo PDP Picks Hole In Ajimobi's Policies

The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Oyo State, Alhaji (Hon) Olayinka Taiwo has demanded that all the draconian policies embarked upon by the state government under Senator Abiola Ajimobi be discontinued forthwith

This, the party said is to prevent the governor from incurring what it called the wrath of the people of the state.

This was contained in a press statement issued in Ibadan by the party's Director of Media and Strategy, Barrister Morohunkola Thomas.

The party Chairman noted that the demolition of shops belonging to the ordinary masses of the people because of the flower planting project of the government which bears no positive impact on the economy of the state is not only callous but equally sadistic.

The PDP said that the policy should not only be discontinued but adequate compensation should also be paid to those poor people whose shops were demolished.

Alhaji Olayinka Taiwo also noted that the various anti-labour policies of the government leading to the retrenchment of workers and the non-payment of workers salaries as at when due as exemplified by the non-payment of salaries during the last Ileya festival amount to administrative cruelty against the hardworking civil and public servants of the state.

The PDP Chairman called on the people of Oyo State to bear it only a little more as all the injustices meted out to them by the current administration would be revisited when the PDP regains political power in 2015.
