Dickson Denied Receiving 17 Billion Naira From Excess Crude Account



The Bayelsa State Governor Henry Seriake Dickson says it is not true that the state received seventeen billion naira from the Revenue Mobilisation,Allocation and Fiscal Commission wrongly from the excess crude account.

Seriake Dickson stated this during the inauguration of the State Boundary Committee headed by the Deputy Governor John Gboribiogha Jonah.

Seriake Dickson said no such money were ever paid out from any excess crude account to the Bayelsa State government describing it as a deliberate falsehood put out to discredit the federal agency.

Dickson charged the State Boundary Committee to work with various communities that have to do with resolutions of boundary issues and disputes and also work hand in hand with appropriate Federal Agencies that have been set up by the laws and constitution of Nigeria.

He urged the committee to ensure proper sensitization and orientation to members of the various communities on the need to be law abiding and to work with constituted authorities and security agencies to ensure peace and unity and maintain the existing cordial relationship in the state and neighboring states.

Dickson commended the people of Oluasiri and Nembe so far for their show of maturity in handling the boundary issue particular in ensuring peace and understanding among the people of the community.

The committee also has representatives from the state commissioner of police and the State Security Service and other security agencies as members
