The  Bayelsa State Government says it has started the process of resettling some of the Internally  Displaced Persons(IDP) at the various camps to their respective communities.

The Secretary to the Bayelsa state Government Professor Allison Oguru disclosed this to newsmen while receiving a truckload of relief materials from Sidoni Foundation,a non governmental organisation.

Allison Oguru who is also the secretary of the state flood management committee says transport arrangement would be made available to the displaced persons that might be willing to resettle back to their homes saying that a good number of them have gone back to start fishing activities.

The SSG who commended Sidoni Foundation for the donation calls for more ,especially as they approach the post flood era which he said would be more challenging.

He  said the state government would be gradually reducing the supply of relief items to the various camps in the state and would be made available when they reach their various communities.
