Ministry Of Education Fire: PDP accuses Edo State Government of Alibi to halt EFCC Fraud probe.

The Main opposition Party in Edo State, the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, has ascribed the wild fire at the Ministry of Education which completely burnt down Exams and Records sections to attempts by the state Government   to cover up alleged theft of three hundred and twenty million Naira.

The Publicity secretary of the Party in the State Mr Mathew Urhoghide told News Men in Benin that following a petition by his party officials of the EFCC and ICPC had visited the State few days back to commence investigation only for the mysterious fire to destroy vital documents for the probe.

Mr Mathew Urhoghide drew attention on going strike by the NUT saying despite the fact that it has paralyzed learning in Public Schools the State Government has blatantly refused to negotiate with Teachers and end the industrial dispute.

The PDP Publicly secretary drew attention to the political log jam at Esan North East Local Government Area caused by a failed local Government election while decrying the comatose Central Hospital Project which despite the huge sum sunk into it is yet to be completed.
