Oyo NURTW remain proscribed...Ajimobi...warns those parading themselves


Oyo state government has restated the ban on the activities of members of the national union of road transport workers in the state.

The Hon. Commissioner for works and transport in the state Alhaji Yinus Akintunde disclosed this today while briefing pressmen on the outcome of State Executive Council Meeting.

He warned members of the NURTW that the state govt has not lifted the ban placed on the activities of the members of the NURTW and that anybody caught fomenting trouble will be seriously dealt with.

The warning is coming sequel to announcement by one Taofeek Oyerinde a.k.a Fele suspected to be loyal to restrained former chairman of the Union Lateef Akinsola a.k.a Tokyo who announced that they are now in charge of the state motor park union.

The state police command has also threatened to arrest and prosecute any person who parade himself as the leader of the proscribed union aimed at causing disaffection in the among other members of the union while its suspension is yet to be lifted by the governor.
