Edo Royal fathers condemn ethnic politics, back Oshiomhole

Traditional rulers from Edo North Senatorial district have condemned the introduction of politics of ethnicity in the state and have thrown their weight behind the Action Congress of Nigeria candidate, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole to enable him continue his developmental strides across the state.
The Otaru of Auchi, Aliru Momoh, Ikelebe III, who spoke on behalf of the traditional rulers when the Governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole paid a courtesy visit to his palace, weekend said “ we must demystify ethnicity and look at Individuals who can perform in the forthcoming election”.
According to him, the people should thank God for bringing light to Edo State through Comrade Oshiomhole who has kept to his promises made to the people while campaigning  in 2006.
“When you told us you were contesting for the governorship position of the state, we expected you should go to the presidency but You said you wanted make a mark to make you qualify for that position. Today we are proud of you. The Oba of Benin and the people  have consistently said this is the man we want to continue to do what he has started.”
The traditional ruler maintained that what Adams Oshiomhole has done has spoken for him and he will win the election, therefore the people should be praying for good health for him.
“I was in my palace recently when I got several phone calls that Auchi is now looking like London when they switched on the street lights in the town. Across the state there are significant developments going on. If there are any remnants in the opposition political party, when they see the light they will come over,” he noted.
Earlier, the governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole who introduced his running mate Dr. Pius Odubu to the traditional rulers said he was in Auchi to present  his score card to the people of Edo North Senatorial district.
“We have benefited from the wise counsel of the traditional institution which has been the bridge between government and the people. It is only right to report on our stewardship to be able to ask for support for the second term. Edo State is a viable entity and if the funds  are applied, the entire state will be developed,” he noted.
