Federal Government has
commenced payment of monthly pension to soldiers of the Nigerian Army who
fought on the side of secessionist Biafran army during the Nigerian Civil War
between 1967 to 1970
Chairman of the Military
Pensions Board, Air Commodore Mohammed Dabo said this while playing host to the
Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro, in Abuja, on Thursday.

former-Biafran soldiers were granted Presidential pardon by former President
Olusegun Obasanjo in 2000.
