One of the doctors who attended
to the Liberian man that died recently in Lagos of Ebola recently has
contracted the virus.
The Minister of Health,
Professor Onyebuchi Chukwu who announced this in Abuja said eight persons that
had close contact with the Liberian man have been quarantined
He assured Nigerians that
the Federal Government was doing everything to prevent an outbreak of the virus
in Nigeria.
Professor Chukwu who also
inaugurated the Treatment Research Group to verify claims of a cure for the
virus said there was no known vaccine and cure for Ebola, adding that it has
not been scientifically proven that bitter kola can cure the virus.
