The House
of Representatives has passed a resolution for the relocation of the
headquarters of the Nigerian Army to Maiduguri, the Borno state capital.
The
resolution was in response to the recent killings by suspected Boko Haram
members in the state.
The House
said the movement would give the Chief of Army Staff the opportunity to gather
information on the Boko Haram attacks and device measures to arrest the
situation.
The
resolution was passed following a motion moved by Peter Guntha from Borno
state.
