Nigeria has signed an agreement with the United Kingdom on exchange of
prisoners.
The agreement provides that Nigerian prisoners such as former Delta
State Governor, James Ibori serving in UK prison would be transferred to
Nigeria to complete their terms.
The British government is also to give the Federal Government one
million pounds to reform Nigerian prisons.
The agreement was signed in Abuja on behalf of Nigeria by the
Attorney-General of the Federation , Mohammed Adoke while the UK Justice
Minister , Jeremy Wright signed for his country.
