The Independent National Electoral Commission has said it
would go ahead with the November thirty supplementary governorship election in
Anambra state.
Chief Press Secretary to INEC Chairman Kayode Idowu said
the commission cannot stop the election after it has announced the date and
began preparations towards the poll.
Idowu insisted that INEC is covered by the Electoral Act
twenty ten, as amended to conduct supplementary election.
