The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand
Alliance, APGA Chief Willie Obiano has been dragged to court over allegations
that he engaged in double voters’ registration.
The suit filed by the runner-up in APGA’s governorship
primaries Uche Ekwunife is contending that Obiano’s double registration status
with INEC as a voter disqualified him from contesting in the election.
Ekwunife is praying the court to declare that she is the
lawful candidate of APGA.
She also wants the court to compel INEC to recognize her
as the candidate of the party in the November sixteenth Anambra governorship
election.
