Former
governors of Oyo State, Senator Rashidi Ladoja and Chief Christopher Alao-Akala
on Monday joined thousands of people to mark the first year remembrance
of the former governor and leader of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria
(ACN), late Lam Adesina, just as Governor Abiola Ajimobi sued for peace among
members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the state.
They
also donated to 'Lam Care Foundation' which was launched in memory of Lam
Adesina.
Speaking,
Ladoja described Lam Adesina as a God fearing man who lived all his life to
serve Allah.
He
promised to donate the sum of N100, 000 monthly to the foundation for life.
Alao-
Akala while speaking at the remembrance described lam Adesina as a great man,
who was selfless and loving towards everyone.
Although
he did not mention the figure he donated to assist the foundation publicly, he
promised to send his cheque to assist the foundation before Friday.
Earlier
in his welcome address, the first son of late Lam Adesina, Dr Ayo Adesina said
the Ayo Lam Care foundation was launched in other to immortalise the memory of
his father.
Ayo
Adesina said that his father was a philanthropist till his death and he would
ensure that the selfless legacies of his father continues to live on.
