Abia Government Recalls Sacked Non Indigene Workers


Abia state government has called on all the non indegenes it transferred back to their home states during the minimum wage saga to re apply for employment in the state civil service.

Commissioner for Informationand Strategy,Eze Chikamnayo who announced this in Umuahia as part of resolutions of the state EXCO meeting, said this decision came following plans by government to employ new workers.

He said this decision covers all categories of persons relieved of their appointment based on state of origin.

The commissioner further disclosed that  state government has approved the immediate establishment  of an airport in the state, saying already a technical committee headed by the Deputy governor, Emeka Ananaba has been set up to work out the modalities.

He stated that the committee which has three weeks to submit its report is expected to swing into action immediately.
