The FCT Administration has called for
the establishment of the Capital Territory House of Assembly to make laws
expeditiously for the peace and good governance of the Territory.
This was one of the demands made by the
people of Federal Capital Territory to the National Advisory Committee on
National Dialogue on Wednesday during an interactive session with the committee
The FCT delegation was led to the public
forum by the FCT Minister, Senator Bala Mohammed in company of the FCT Minister
of State, Olajumoke Akinjide and representatives of the indigenous inhabitants
and other residents of capital territory.
The position of the FCT, which was read, by
the Chairman, FCT Steering Committee on National Dialogue, Dr, Aliyu Modibbo
Umar stressed that the Legislative Organ when established would ensure better
efficiency in the administration of the 8,000 square kilometers of the
Territory.
