Noble laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka said members of the Boko Haram sect rejected western education because they have limited knowledge of the Islamic religion. Soyinka said that some of the world great philosophers were Muslims.
Professor Wole Soyinka, who said this at the opening of a two day education summit put together by the Rivers State Ministry of Education in Port Harcourt.
He opined that the country’s educational sector needs desperate attention in
order to regain its lost glory.
