The Senate Flags Off Public Hearing On A Bill Seeking To Make It Mandatory For Ministries, Departments And Government Agencies To Give Priority To Local Firms In The Procurement Process




The Nigerian Senate has flagged off a public hearing on a bill seeking to make it mandatory for ministries, departments and government agencies to give priority to local firms in the procurement process.

The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Trade and Investment, Senator Nenadi Usma said the bill when passed into law will protect local industries, boost employment for Nigerians.
