The National Emergency Management Agency NEMA says it has developed
an early warning message which it hopes will serve as guide to all stakeholders
in disaster management.
This is coming on the heels of the 2013 seasonal rainfall
prediction of the Nigeria Meteorological Agency NIMET.
Speaking at the document presentation by a technical committee,
director general of NEMA, Mohammed Sani Sidi decried the failure of some state
governments in setting up emergency management agencies at a time the impact of
climate change is visible in Nigeria.
