Troops Redeployment In Line With Nigeria's Leadership Role - Foreign Affairs Minister

The Nigerian government says redeployment of its troops to Mali was in line with country's leadership role in the continent. 

The Mali operations, the country also revealed,  was to safeguard the territorial integrity of the country.

Minister  of Foreign Affairs, Olugbenga Ashiru,  revealed this when he appeared before the House joint Committees of Defence, Foriegn Affairs and National Security.
